*Flight object work in progress

As defined on the FAA's
Free Flight Phase 1 (FFP1) program office website, FFP1 is "the
limited deployment of [a set of] core capabilities during the 1998 - 2002
time period." The capabilities listed above also include those in
the Flight and Oceanic domains introduced during this same time frame.
Some of the capabilities introduced in FFP1 will share flight information
via the Common Message Set, in place of the messages currently
used for communicating with the Host Computer System. For further information
on the Common Message Set and its use in FFP1, see the following: Katkin,
R., and T. Waters, Operational and Implementation Considerations
for URET to Transition from the 320 Patch to the Common Message Set, A
Comparison of the 320 Patch and CMS, June 2000, WN 00W0000033.

Caveats
- Capabilities introduced in the Free Flight Phase 1 (FFP1) time frame,
not necessarily available everywhere (see
associated issue)
- Capabilities expected to have wider deployment and possibly more functionality
in FFP2 time frame and beyond
- Information sharing among these capabilities not expected to be in
place during FFP1 time frame
